Understanding Your Union Retirement Benefits

Speakers: Cathy Halpin and Mary Ferry (Pension & Annuity) and David Erdei (401K)
There are many benefits offered to you as a Local 764 worker. Understanding these benefits is
your first step to Financial Wellness. This course (i) explains the benefits (Annuity, Pension,
401K – and a few more you may not know about) that are available to 764 members
through the union’s collective bargaining; and (ii) ensures attendees have all their
beneficiary forms completed and filed with the union.
Participants will learn (i) how the Annuity, Pension and 401K function and operate ; (ii) how
contributions are made by an employer on a member’s behalf: (iii) how to read a Pension
Statement; (iv) when and how one can withdraw from each benefit fund; and (v) the
beneficiary forms associated with each fund.
All members, no matter how long they have been in the union, are encouraged to attend
this Financial Wellness course that provides valuable information beneficial to everyone!
